The goal is to create hysteria, and there is a political gain for hysteria.

What would be the political gain for "hysteria"? The more dire the prediction the more extreme the level of any serious response. Since people generally don't wish to experience radical changes in the lives they've become accustomed to, any political party calling for a personal sacrifice and a radical overhaul of the system would be countered by a different political party promising "lower taxes" and more "personal freedom". The cultivation of "hysteria" doesn't really sound like an effective political strategy. I think you're confusing the expression of alarm with something very different – a non-existent, politically-motivated campaign to provoke social unrest. I don't see any evidence of this, nor do I see that it would help any political party. It sounds like you're promoting a conspiracy theory.

@maxdancona,
BTW, name an area that Fox news has presented bout ea level rie or limate change??? I cant recall even 1.
Theyve been spouting about how, ithe climate changes, e gt these rough nowy winters.
Thus proving that the relationhips between air moisture and snow levels are climatically "loked" and Fox has misse th point that the biggest snowfalls near marine environments are hen th tmps nd humidity hovr around higher temps not at sub zros.
