The Sotah law or law of the river if A woman is accused of infidelity she was a given A choice to prove her innnocence she would swim up the river and thru the currents survive and if she passed she was proven innocent. For some the law was harsh but A law was given so women could have A choice it was better other kingdoms or culture would of juts of stone her or cut her head or hanged her. Without given her any chance of proving her innocence. No, other culture dont' have laws like those and women would of being juts killed with out giving her A chance.
13 if a man lies with her sexually, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and she is undetected though she has defiled herself, and there is no witness against her, since she was not taken in the act,
28 But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, then she shall be free and shall conceive children.

Deuteronomy 16:10-11
Another law of your offering also to give to widows.

26 And Judah recognized them, and said, “She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not [a]have relations with her again

This are the high status of women and show they had hihger prefrence than man and G-d sided with them, they ahd use of the laws and the mosaic law had laws that were meant for them. This part of the women in the bible the part 1 talks about before the law in midst of Abraham and Sarah had things G-d gave to them. And Part 2 and 3 Talk about the law but in the time of Moses and the mosaic law. The high status of the law we will now see the Equal status and alter the low status of the law.

@davidsheep88,
I know you all know some can be debatable in the slavery area of the law. all of ya have questions but know I have studied it for more than A year now since 2021 was studying this issue and the immense literature talking only about the slavery is immense but also agreeing in what is the witness area of sometimes women could be witnesses in certain cases of gentiles turning into Jews.

Women can be witness inside this cases and also some will talk about the law of the river is A women is found guilty. Even Hamurrabi wrote about this and also found many famous philosphers knew about the law of the mosaic law in those times and some of them compared it to the egyptian laws truly A rich history on how back in those ancient times women did have laws for them.

Even their are verses showing women had property in those times and had the law of the sandal which it is huge what
G-d gave women perhaps you can point out some things but know I do take jewish wisdom but I have made huge advances and please wait until I finish then please give your opinion.Just wait becuase were diving into more literature and more gold of verses that G-d gave women know that in the hebrew langauge there is A letter tha is for women with stick having a hood over it's head symbolizing women. More are unravel and more truth comes out showing women were important blocks that stairs are made of the history of the bible showed what the people of G-d did in those times were complete.

Deuteronomy 16:11-14

Women can eat sacrifical offering another passage talking about the same area.

17 No Israelite man or woman is to become a shrine prostitute. 18 You must not bring the earnings of a female prostitute or of a male prostitute[a] into the house of the Lord your God to pay any vow, because the Lord your God detests them both.

Leviticus 21:1-3

Women and daughters were part of A ceremony of priests not to be unclean and to be clean in front of women.

21 The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them: ‘A priest must not make himself ceremonially unclean for any of his people who die, 2 except for a close relative, such as his mother or father, his son or daughter, his brother, 3 or an unmarried sister who is dependent on him since she has no husband—for her he may make himself unclean.

This is the last part of how women are equal and were equal in the mosaic law but will now talk about something that were in those times and made women equal in the service of the lord. And that is preaching and singing was the way Women sang about the great deeds the prophets did and the kings did like Saul slay his hundreths and king David slew his thousandths was how people knew of the presence of the history of Israel in the next part then after we see the low status that women canot file divorce only men could, women could not be priest, and women cannot be kings but have been exceptions.

@davidsheep88,
You see here in the law of moses womena re equal and God made those laws so women had right to be equal to men to have property know that not many culture or kingdoms even in those times had laws. To know that God put those laws shows he ahd anitcipated those events in courts. Other countries will deny women those privileges it's really amazing that law of the sandal, the law of property, and the law of the river later on you will see all help women and gave a way to avoid death penalty and created loopholes, okay some will say egyptains had laws too.

Yup egyptians gave laws for women to own property too and that was difficult for women to be respected by law but if you born in haitities, roman, and assyrian cultures they would just force to marry someonelse so that property still belongs to men or worst you live in the streets and destroyed by civilization cruel fate for women, gays, or other minorities that is reject would just get kiled. Tolerance of women been treated equal in other countries was rejected you get stoned or killed by society. God gave those alws to protect women really back in those days no education, no books, no respect for minorities, and people have zero tolerance to anything new.

@davidsheep88,
You only lived by the point of the sword , only strong will survive but women had one way also of been equal by singing back in those days the way people knew the stories of Israeal thrue singing and chanting and festivals people gave know there was no telecomunications or just walk to one place freely without been attack by bandits.

Women sing in the towns and merchants people who passed by her their singing. There were no soldiers singing to one place to another people women did the singing. singing was something so easy to do and was the best way of comunications how they knew who was the people of God.

@davidsheep88,
Women in the mosaic law
Part 6:

We left off from last time where women are equal but another things is that women could preach and did so. Women can preach the word their was moments in the old testament God said and Jesus said to that all to give the gospel. Here are some verses.

Psalm 68:11

11 The Lord gives the [a]command;
The women who proclaim good news are a great army:

Back in those days it was not possible for women or men to knew about the word of God or study the only way people knew of the existence of the people of the tribes of Israel is by singing. There were no books there was no easy acces to information people going to towns could only hear of the exploits of others thru singing when they were passing by in cities. The exploits of how the people of God ran from the pharoah from the song of Miriam or Saul slay his hundreths and David slew his thousands were the only means people back in those days knew about stories and knew about G-d's people and their history.

See that women in the old preach by singing and is the only way that people would of known the stories of Israel

1 Samuel 18:6

6 Now it happened as they were coming, when David returned from killing the Philistine, that the women came out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy and with other [a]musical instruments.

See this was the only way hsitory recorded that the tribes of nearby neighbors of Israel knew it existed and Judah history. The roads were dangerous and people who passed by the people of Israel and heard the songs.

Their are 185 in the bible and 80% are in the psalms. The first one is Exo 15:1-20 .God's victory of Egypt, Deborah's song, Hannah song, Psalms, song of Moses Deut 31:1-4. This last song of Moses was attributed to him before he died. The list continues the song of songs, ,the song of Mary Luke 1:46-55, the well song num 21:17-18, and Anna's song of luke 2:36-38

Know that Anna made A song but was lost due to time and know ti was important too bad we lost it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_the_Prophetess

https://womeninthebible.net/women-bi...staments/anna/

But this means the song is how people knew of God and it's people. Women sang and told all the people who they were and where they come from thru songs. This shows how important was singing and it's purpose was helpful during times of the law of the strongets ruled, the tip of A swrod, and an eye for an eye was the way people could know of the people of G-d stories and exploits.

Did women preach and helped convert people to their God ? yes it was the story of Naaman who A slave girl told him about a prophet that will cure him

2 Kings 5:1-14

Women have done their part and preach the word like in the old testament and converted poeple to God such A reward but people do not know about it but it is overlooked. Women have preached in the old testemnt and in the new testament Jesus says.

Matthew 16:15-20, Luke 9:23-27, and Luke 9:23-27 also Jesus said luke 24:44.

Women can preach and participate in the law in equal status as men and serve in temples and sing and convert for the lord. As you seen women did participate daughters and sons of priest sang in temple of King Solomon in the courtyards. They sing together and worship him.

1 Chronicles 25:5-6
5 Heman was one of the king's prophets, and God honored Heman by giving him 14 sons and 3 daughters. 6 His sons were under his direction and played cymbals, harps, and other stringed instruments during times of worship at the temple.

Here is he evidence of it and aslo psalms says young woman and men to sing the lord.

Ps 148:12-13
12 every man and every woman,
young people and old,
come praise the Lord!

This shows that worship and singing was the way of preaching back in those ways and women were the one who preached it. We have seen what make equal women and men in the times of the mosaic law and after. Women did have a part in it and it was enormous in preaching and equal status. Now we will look at the low status of the women and what they can't do back in those times.

@davidsheep88,
Women in he Mosaic law
Part 7:

Now we have gone thru the part of the high status we can go to the low status in the law.

Here we know the thinsg women can't be in the law for instance they cannot be priest but can be A prophet.

Leviticus 21:1-6

Here the lord establishes what is law nad said thru 21:1-6 to also he whole chapter of 21 and 22 talk about the all the commands to make priests and thier roles in it.

21 The Lord said to Moses, “Tell these things to Aaron’s sons, the priests: A priest must not make himself unclean by touching a dead person. 2 But if the dead person was one of his close relatives, he can touch the dead body. The priest can make himself unclean if the dead person is his mother or father, his son or daughter, his brother or 3 his unmarried[a] sister. (This sister is close to him because she has no husband. So the priest may make himself unclean for her if she dies.) 4 But a priest must not make himself unclean if the dead person was only one of his slaves.

5 “Priests must not shave their heads bald. They must not shave off the edges of their beards. They must not make any cuts in their bodies. 6 Priests must be holy for their God. They must show respect for God’s name. They offer the bread and special gifts to the Lord, so they must be holy.

But here we see where the bible says the first women prophet existed.

Exodus 15:20

20 Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.

Another situation is divorce, only men can ask to the court to be divorce A women cannot go and ask to any court, priest, or king to divorce from his husband.

Deuteronomy 24:1-4

24 If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house

Only men can solicit to courts for divorce another situation is war only men here God gave laws for them to go to war and only men are in this verses

Deuteronomoy 20:1-19

When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.

As you see in the verses no mention of women where in this verses and God only told moses to send men into war. Another issue is women cannot do is be A witness even thought the bible says men and women can be witnesses women weren't allowed in the times of moses women could not be in courts and be witness. Simply men were prefrred and A women did see A crime it was cast out as A candidate.

22:15

15 then the young woman’s father and mother shall bring to the town elders at the gate proof that she was a virgin.

We saw this in part 5 women of the mosaic law and here also applies.

Deuteronomy 17:6

6 But no one should be punished with death if only one witness says that person did that evil thing. But if two or three witnesses say it is true, the person must be killed.

here you can see the witneses it does not say only men anyone who saw it.

Numbers 35:30

30 “‘Anyone who kills a person is to be put to death as a murderer only on the testimony of witnesses. But no one is to be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.

Deuteronomy 19:1-12

law of witnesses.

people in those times were hard in the mosaic law and people lived by the point of the sword , rule of an eye for an eye, and the strongest ruled in those time even if jews obeyed the law they had to handle all type of cases in court in history prejudice and promblems in those day for instances made it hard for them The Halak rules by rabbias that will explain to solve those promblmes only men that are fit that are fit that are free are not sick can be witness inside the court but know that throughout history.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halakha

And rabbias have said even though they were having promblems in those times later in the kingdom era and the exile of babylon women were used as witnesses can be witness but know women thoughout hsitory even though they were having promblmes in those times the use women in some isntance in A women can become witness in some parts of the courtcourt like the marriage the section ketubah and kiddush also the gidor converting gentiles into hebrews but with the consent of the individual and the rabbia judging the whole case can ask the women to participate but if it doesn't hurt the case.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketubah

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiddushin_(Talmud)

so people in those segments of the law women can be witness and rabbias in some certain isntances can let women be those witness. but for you to undersand it depends the case and the rabbia will decide because of society in those times. Back in those times people remember that man were the ones that sustian the family who gave food who own the property and were given all those stuff and they were the majority women were given by the law equal status and higher but still society in those times did not recognize those things were more depended on the law of the strongests, law of the point of the sword or the law of an eye for an eye.

But to find the exception of the law there was one it was 22:15 mother could be witness in case things like that happen.

But the other thing they cannot do is be A judge.

Deuteronomy 17:8-13

No mention of women beign judge only men can be judge.

Law Courts

8 If cases come before your courts that are too difficult for you to judge—whether bloodshed, lawsuits or assaults—take them to the place the Lord your God will choose. 9 Go to the Levitical priests and to the judge who is in office at that time. Inquire of them and they will give you the verdict. 10 You must act according to the decisions they give you at the place the Lord will choose. Be careful to do everything they instruct you to do. 11 Act according to whatever they teach you and the decisions they give you. Do not turn aside from what they tell you, to the right or to the left. 12 Anyone who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the Lord your God is to be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel. 13 All the people will hear and be afraid, and will not be contemptuous again.

Another excpetion is women cannot be queens.

Deuteronomy 17:14-20

Here the law of kings and only applies to men.

14 When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,” 15 be sure to appoint over you a king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your fellow Israelites. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not an Israelite.

There is only one record of one women being queen and that is Atalah or Athaliah and even thought she was a bad queen for some she was the first to be queen in history of here nation. For only six years of her reign and save one of the people thru the desendancy of the kingship.

2 Kings 11:1-20

11 When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to destroy the whole royal family.

Know those are things before the mosaic and in the mosaic law the law did protect women even though people in the modern time don't know it they think all the women were oppressed in those times there were the moments in times in the laws that existed that protected women and their rights. Gave way for women to have their rights in their part in history. All the high, equal, and low status were all part of the history of the jewish people And women have thier part in the history of thejewish people. And it's a big one and their are manyt hings and more information is going to be revealed now that we see that law area were going to keep on going and see thru the bible and many instances that women did their part in the plan of God.

Like women like Eve the first woman who is mother of all humankind she did her part as role fo all mothers, Sarah who is another mother, is the on of all Israel and was wife of Abraham she was giving blessings like Abraham, Also Hagar the mother of arabs, wife of Abraham also she gave birth A civilization like Sarah but without a husband and was blessed, and Miriam sister of moses, the first women prophet.

There were the most imporant women but women not writting in hollywood or seen in movies did do gigantics things like Sherah the daughter of Ephraim

1 Chronicles 7:24

People dind't know in A time when their so much prejudice women built cities, no there is more women women like her and the bible have and we also have another one Deborah the prophet she saved her peopel and did the plan of god and in moments that are so difficult for normal men and we also have another women. another women like Rahab who was not hebrew but still ahd faith and if it wasn't for her Israel would of not been made, besides this great ladies that defend Israel serve God and his plan there are other greta women : Rebekah, Rachel, Leah, wife of Gideon, Manoehs' wife, Hanah, Ruth, and other wise women in those times.

This are the times this women did battle and they all did their part of the plan of God. The next part we will the women in the times of the kings and queens of Israel and if there was women great bravery and love that did the plan of G-d.
