Hi I'm 21 and there is a girl I know and my family knows (my dad tells me she likes me). My dad's gf knows her family and she's always nice when we talk and she's pretty. My dad also said that before one of her softball games another guy was possibly coming and she called my dad's gf and asked if I was coming and if I was she was going to tell this guy not to come. Is my dad lying to make me feel better? What do you think is going on here?

Why would you assume your dad would lie to make you feel better? Maybe she is interested in you. Why not take a chance and ask her out for an ice cream or a coffee? If you don't ask, you won't know. You could be pleasantly surprised.
