Is this sentence clear or is there a better choice:

We have been unable to contact the insured to finalize the punch list but will continue to reach out to them and provide an update.

That's actually pretty good, but if you want to tighten it a little, you could say:

We have been unable to contact the insured to finalize the punch list but once we do, we'll provide an update.

I'm a minimalist with words.

I've never heard this term before. What is a punch list?

We called it a Deficiency List, which is the same thing.
