UNIVERSE COULD SELF-DESTRUCT AT ANY SECOND AND THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO

The universe could self-destruct at any moment as every particle is trying to reach its lowest state by releasing energy, it has been revealed. The end of the universe would literally wipe out everything inside it, and there is no way of knowing when it is coming. All scientists know is the universe is constantly trying to reach its lowest state, which particles, for example, do by releasing energy. By reaching the lowest state, it is then in a 'vacuum state'- which is where a particle would be at its most stable as energy is at its lowest point. However, it has been postulated there is also a false vacuum state which occurs when a particle appears stable but it has yet to reach the lowest state, apart from the Higgs Field. The Higgs Field is an energy field which exists everywhere in the universe and as particles travel through it, they are given mass or energy. However, if the Higgs Field reaches its vacuum state, the energy inside it would be enormous enough to push space around it, causing energy to ripple through the universe in all directions and at the speed of light, obliterating everything in its path. As a result, the destruction of the universe would be almost instantaneous and we would not even be aware that it happened. Furthermore, there would be no chance of life existing as we know it, ever again, as there would be nothing for it to exist in.
