You are driving on a road that has a 6% uphill grade. This means that the slope of the road is (6/100). Approximate the amount of vertical change in your position when you drive 200 feet.
We are told that the slope of the road is (6/100).
I know that slope = rise/run.
Stuck here....
@nycdad,
If the run is X, the rise is .06X, right? Draw a right triangle with those values and you should see how to proceed.
@engineer,
Ok. I will be back if stuck.
