If you are fired, I know you have to go thru a lot of red tape ( unemployment hearing, etc.) to try to get unemployment. However, if you find a new job, can you forego the unemployment hearings and be able to draw unemployment from the company who had fired you... should you fall beneath the minimum amount of wages while beginning this new job?? ( the new job starts off slowly but with great earnings as time goes on... ) Illinois....can't get any answers from the unemployment office because they are so backed up it takes forever for them to return any phone calls.
