When it ends with “I have a few more interviews that I have to do, I should have an answer by the beginning of next week. If you don’t hear from me by Wed, call me and we can discuss the next steps”.

It does sound positive. Make sure you have questions prepared to ask when you next talk to the Hiring Manager.
