I was wondering if your supervisor/manager is able to deny my request to leave work early for the day. I had a situation that needed to be handled and ( for the first time ever) I requested to leave work early for the day (3 hours specially) and was basically told no. I should mention I had recently put my 2 weeks in previously and only had 3 shifts left before I was done completely.

Your supervisor can deny your request to leave early, but if it were me and I only had 4 shifts left...I would have left.....they won't tackle you in the parking lot and drag you back in. However, I really don't think burning bridges is smart....you may need them as a reference and they could truthfully say you were uncooperative. Keep in mind, I am retired and won't be looking for employment in the future.
