Are these sentences clear or is there a better way by combining them:

The repairs were scheduled to begin this week but the insured cancelled. We will work with her on rescheduling.

They’re fine, the only minor change I would make it change her to them. When you first mentioned the insured they are gender neutral, using them is consistent.

Having said that it is fine as it is.
