SLOW TV

In the wee small hours of Xmas morning I had the pleasure of watching a 'slow TV doc' : "The Chocolate Factory: Inside Cadbury Australia".
It was so riviting (to me) that I resented having to take a 'bathroom break'. All up it went for 3 hours 8 mins. Kept thinking "that's one heck of a TV commercial". The box of Cadbury Favourites within reach didn't last long. I loved every second of this doc, from the harvesting of the sugar cane up in Queensland to the Easter Bunnies down in Melbourne, or was it Tassie?
There seems to be many more of these 'slow TV' productions being aired on SBS. The Kimberley Cruise is on offer today.
When I think about how much I dislike most TV commercials ... there is maybe one that tickled my fancy... the one where the guy rushes into his corner store and asks for a bottle of milk and is asked what sort of milk... that cracked me up... he just wanted a bottle of milk.. don't we all? But I have digressed... off the track.. so to speak... back to TV commercials I'd prefer not to watch.. I hit the mute button a pick up a crossword magazine... yes, I do realise that it's thanks to the advertisers that I am able to watch really great TV for FREE, and for that I am truly grateful, but most of the TV ads are just so banal... awful, that I end up watching Gruen so some of the ads can be explained to me.
Sorry for being a pain and getting so off the track. I only wanted to shout it from the roof tops just how much I loved "The Chocolate Factory: Inside Cadbury Australia".

@drillersmum85,
Many decades ago there used to be some fun and interesting TV commercials.

The one commercial I remember the most show a beach scene with breaking waves in the back ground with a man trying to defused a large large bomb by slowly removing the fuse assembly when he cough and the screen turn white.

Then a voice over came on saying when you can not afford to cough used smith brothers cough drops.

Where the hell are the old type of commercials that every once in a while have
you rolling on the floor?

@BillRM,
The next funny TV ad I see I will definately post about it, only I won't hold my breath. Hopefully someone else might strike it lucky.
