72a hems ('he'+ 'ms'. MS is short for manuscript)

Thanks but "bad end" for 23 down don't fit as 39 ac authentic, the third last letter is t where 23 d has a d. Where have I gone wrong?

I have Overkill for 32 across maybe making 23 down: Bad lot, seems right.
