Sometimes I forgot to brush my teeth at the night or I don't have time to do it, Is it okay to use mouth wash instead of brushing. Would it be able to protect teeth from tooth decay?
@SabrinaF,
Brushing is much more effective than rinsing with mouthwash. It only takes two minutes. Do it twice a day.
You will get some benefit:
Mouthwash kills bacteria associated with causing bad breath and some may help prevent plaque build-up.
But it cannot replace actually brushing or flossing. I guess if you did not have an option it is better than nothing - but take the few minutes to brush - you need to swish the mouth wash any way so what is another minute?
Maybe invest in an automated toothbrush - that might be quicker and easier for you and from what my dentist says - better than a manual one anyway.
