Happy Birthday, McTag!
I found something special for you. Here's a silver brooch for your kilt.

happy birthday
Happy late birthday McTag!!!
Solar calendars, lunar calendars... I don't see why they get any weight at all.
That aside, herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag.
Well, thank you all, and thanks to Francis who had the lovely idea of presenting me with my very own birthday thread.
I was a bit busy here on the 7th in the morning, and then left for two days in Edinburgh. We had our birthay celebration (my wife, my son and I) in our favourite bistro in Hanover Street, in the New Town.
The food was so good, I had two main courses! I was allowed, on my special day. The bistro, owned by friends, presented me with a special bottle of wine, too, which was very nice of them.
We had a lovely time there, in warm sunshine, including a walk up Calton Hill on Friday evening, and up onto Salisbury Crags on Saturday morning, both affording marvellous view of the Old Town and surrounding countryside.
We, and the police reinforcements, left today and now we're back home, after a five-hour drive.
I'll leave you, if I may, with a Scottish toast:
"Here's tae us! Wha's like us?
Damn few! An' they're a' deid."
McTag was born!??? Who knew?!
Anyway - happy birthday, McTag -
and g'day to Fiona!
This is some kind of strange Oz joke, I expect.
Did you know, la belle Fiona worked in Sydney (I believe that is somewhere down there) for four years?
But she's rubbish on the digeridoo.
