Is this sentence clear or is there a better choice:

I will await confirmation from the adjuster how the deductible has been applied.

One does not confirm how something is done. One confirms that something has been done or one explains how something is done.

What is the adjuster doing, confirming or explaining?

The adjuster is checking to see if the deductible has already been paid.
