But Rod Steiger and James Coburn, you can't go wrong.

If you can get past the accents you'll enjoy it. Actually no, the accents are great especially Steiger's.
That's one thing I'd have to say about Morricone's music you need to have seen the film it was in.
When you're listening to his music you have to get the context, visualise the movie too.
They're so intertwined and that's what made his film scores great.
