I live in the 7b hardiness zone and have 2 knockout rose bushes. Is it too late to prune my roses? Most recommendations are for early spring. The plants are currently 4’ tall and I would like to encourage better airflow and fuller blooms.

@bwyatt,
Spring is Spring - so go ahead and prune.

Remove any dead branches, cutting down to the crown.

Take off any branches rubbing another or growing sideways. Take out any center crowding branches to air out the bush. Prune down all others to to shape. Cut on slants down to each swollen or bud, just above the bud so the rain runs away from the bud.

Knockouts are very hardy. Just fertilizer with something like Rosetone, and water often.

That’s what I do, anyway.

The knock out roses at the place I used to work were so fast growing the ground crew had to trim them the way they did the shrubs, all summer and much of winter.
