Great movie, watch it many times and enjoy it immensely.
One thing has bugged me forever. Valance (Lee Marvin) carries
and uses violently a short silver mounted quirt (short whip) dangling
from his left wrist. I've searched the Net trying to find details about this, it seems professionally made, the film credits say nothing and all the "whips" site around seem to be aimed at the frisky sex maniacs!
I can't find a clear still showing it either.
Any ideas?
No, but I agree with you that it's a great movie.
