Hi everybody I have watched on u tube a joiner that when he turns on his power saw it turns the vacuum on as well, then when he turns the saw off the vacuum runs on for five seconds, does anyone know how this works, he seems to have it plugged into some sort of relay, the video was American thanks

It's pretty simple to put a relay in the saw circuit. Here's a video explaining time delay relays. He talks about his table saw in the video. Here's a lookup for them.

Thanks for that very helpful, is that something like an extension lead were you could plug your saw in and the vacuum

Those links have other links to guide you. Were I doing it, I would hard wire the relay before two special outlets on your workbench.
