Estimating drift of coring device

We have been using a Rumohr coring device to collect sediment samples at a bay in northern Chile and would like to ask you if anybody knows of a formula
to estimate the drift from the vertical axis based on the dimensions
and weight of the sampling device, water depth and current speed.
