She may be talking about a different kind of skinwalker, but boy, you are right on about the Navajo. I worked in a power plant on the rez for over 6 years and only heard two references to their beliefs. They are not especially happy when us Anglos try to tell them what they believe, either.

i am speaking of the Navajo skin walker yes. its so hard to find anything other than the basic info on them, and like you said, they aren't very keen on sharing much else about them. I do understand why, but it doesn't make me any less curious to know more.
