as if something stuck in throat (like hair but it's not that).
She does it several times a day, only started in the last 4 months. She is 14.
My other 3 cats don't do this.
Could it be Cat Flu?

@goodgod,
I see my post was marked down by 1 point.
What sort of drongo would do that?

@goodgod,
If she's been doing it for 4 months it's probably not cat flu.
But she's 14 years old, it might be time to take her to the vet for a check up.

@goodgod,
You let such a condition go for 4 months -- and haven't taken her to see the vet yet?

I wasn't the person who marked you down, but I do urge you to take her to the vet asap...

@Seizan,
It really only happens once or twice a day, sometimes not at all.
She has good appetite and no obvious signs of sickness.
Otherwise in excellent condition.

@goodgod,
You initially said it happens several times a day...

@Seizan,
It's not a regular thing and along with the other 3 cats she is in perfect health. Years ago when another one developed "bloat" I took her to the Vet who should have advised me to put her down. She went through agony for days before I ended it.
I can't afford to rush off to the Vet for every little thing, not with 4 cats.
My cats are family to me, I would probably be on a cruise if they weren't so dependent on me.
