We used to have two houses being fed from one well. water was good. Then a rural water district was formed and we joined and ran both houses off the rural water district water line. The water line running from our water meter to our house developed a leak after 15 years so I switched the house back to the well which in the interim only supplied water to a heated trough for cattle.
The water from the well is full of small air bubbles and looks quite milky but if you let a glass of it stand for a few minutes the bubble all rise up and the water is clear. The water wasn't milky before. I thought maybe since I had let a lot of air get into the pipes when switching from RWD to well water that was the cause but a week later the water is still milky so that is not the cause.
Any ideas?
