MaryCat you are comin on down to Tejas, hooray. The wild flowers are just starting to bloom and the red buds are in full blom. All the trees have that hint of green popping out and the grass is gettng nice to.

Ok now we need details, where and when. I just got back from dinner with Lola and BillW and family. And danon5 wants to plan a Texas round up before it gets to hot so lets us know, ya hear. And we can give you a proper big ole Texas howdy do.

I am so excited to see wildflowers again!

I really really hope we get a place where I can plant a little garden. Of course then I'll need to know where I should go for seeds and seedlings and tools in Austin.

Can't wait to grow tomatoes and herbs. Maybe some flowers, too, for good measure.

mc..TEXAS!!? woohoo...girl, you have yourself a great trip, although Im sure you are quite full of anxiety at the moment, the excitement I m sure will come along soon enough. I just love the bluebonnets...ahhhh..spring spring spring! <whos gonna cook my steamers at my barbeques??Wink>

I went to the flower show as well last week..FABULOUS..till I got home and noticed not even the crocus had appeared yet..then this morning I figured, well, Ill go take a look see..and yep..there they were springing about..should bloom shortly! Next it will be the cherry tree, then well just about everything and I long for the days when the honeysuckle drifts in through the window with a hint of sea breeze...spring...such a fabulous time!

Thanks, JD! A virtual treasure trove of information!

And thanks, MC! I am full of anxiety, but also excited. Trying to focus on the excitement. And I'm going at just the right time, I think -- all the spring flowers that we don't have up here are springing up down there. New home, new season, new life.

I think we will actually be leaving next Monday morning early. Getting the car Sunday, loading it up, saying last goodbyes, and then trying to sleep. Essentially six days left for packing and shipping. And finishing up the paperwork and so forth. I think we can do it. But we won't really relax until at least one of us is working regularly and we're settled in.

Okay, back to work!

In this photo, Bluebonnets stretch out as far as the eyes can see in a field near Eagle Lake, Texas
