I just saw Bella mention that she was an English major. Me too. Wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of us, since you have to like language and writing at least a little to hang out here.

was and English major at one time.... Then I dropped out.
English major - and honours degree - in my first degree.
But - I know almost no formal grammar - despite years of trying to get me to parse and analyse in junior school. What I DID know I am losing - and now my SPELLING is going!
As well as your SENSE of APPROPRIATE capitALization...
