If I say I am in the car and if I say I am on the car or bus what is the difference in the meaning?
In the car means inside the passenger compartment of the car.
On the car means on top of the car, outside of the passenger compartment of the car.
On the bus means inside the passenger compartment of the bus.
So the terminology is not logically consistent between cars and buses.
