I see people often qualify their posts by adding statements about how wrong they've been in the past.
This thread is in their honor. Did you ever think this about something that turned out to be successful?
I certainly have. One that comes to mind is American Spoon Foods, which originally opened in a little shop on Mitchell Street in Petoskey, MI, with a hippy stirring preserves in a bit kettle in back. I was in college and visiting for the summer and happened to walk by. Sure, it smelled good, but I thought, how the heck can they ever make any money selling jam?
It has turned into one of the largest catalog food operations in the country, also with several storefronts.
