Will it take the same amount of force to pump one time with differnet well liquid volumes?(PHOTO)

What does "at the top" mean? Not sure of your question, but forget about gallons. You are more interested in the height of the column of water above the pump. I'm assuming the pump is at the bottom of the well. Some pumps are at the surface, and rely on lower pressure at the well head. This kind of pump only works on very shallow wells, by the way. Like <32 feet.

Thank you.. It looks like I cannot attatch a drawing as what I'm looking would have been much more transparent. Hypothetically we have a piston at the very bottom acting like a plunger going up. This piston lifts water or pumps it upwords every time the lever is pulled somewhat how a shallow well pump works. Would the force be the same or have to be greater to pump one time if the total water volume in the well was increased?

It seems to me that with a taller & larger well it would be that much more water weight weighing down on the piston.
To me i think that to pump once it would take more force in the larger well. Am I wrong or on the right track? Thank you haha

Okay, all else being equal, it will take more work to pump the same amount of water up the taller well if both pipes are full.

We are looking at pressure, by the way, not weight. It takes about 32 feet of water to maintain roughly 15 psi. Those are approximate numbers, but close enough for a hand pumped well.
