Lost Letter On Mac keyboard

I have lost the k on my Mac keyboard (I am getting it here using the auto correct feature). When I type it in lower case I get ˚ and in upper case get . It is the only letter on the keyboard that doesn't work. I happen to have a second board and it behaves the same on that one. Have I accidentally reconfigured that letter somehow? If so I can I fix it?
