Pg 169 of Einstein for dummies. Paragraph starting with “ The same principle is true when the ship.....
It appears that the ball is not colliding with the earth but the opposite.
I envision that the earth is moving in one direction and will collide with any objects ahead of itself. Yet an object on trailing side of earths direction will still collide with dropped object.
Curious about this .

Thanks

@Koopyetz,
I don't have a copy of that book. I am imagining that it is talking about different frames of reference.

Can you elaborate?

(I should add that Mark Noble rejects modern ideas about Physics in favor of fringe ideas you find on the Internet. If you are looking for Physics as taught in Universities, ignore him).

@maxdancona,
And Nassim also teaches - Not to pursue 'academical' qm.
Guess that's why he's at the forefront of the entire subject?

You know NOTHING of Quantum physics, max - Else you'd have figured out why it is (Was) at a dead-end (Lost in imaginary theoretic hyperbole.

Would you like a 'layman's' link to prove it?
Or shall I leave you to your 'programmed' ideals?

@mark noble,
I have a Physics degree, which included actual courses in GR (this thread has nothing to do with Quantum physics).. And, I taught Physics.

@maxdancona,
Gravity has Everything to do with quantum physics.
and motion has Everything to do with gravity.

In fact EVERYTHING has Everything to do with EVERYTHING.

Want a link that'll obviate your pointless degree - Or Not?
