Squirrels

I want to know if and how I can wire the pole to my bird feeder. It is on a 9 foot metal pole on top is a 20x17 plastic square then the feeder. I want to give the squirrels a little shot to make them stay away. I have a picture of that helps, also I have already tried and exhausted all alternatives, I have been fighting them for 10 years. Our neighborhood has a lot of mature trees and on an average day I can count 13 squirrels in my yard or someone elses.bird feeders or not.
