“If the facts are against you, argue the law. If the law is against you, argue the facts. If the law and the facts are against you, pound the table and yell like hell!” I once saw this attributed to Clarence Darrow, but I remain doubtful. Does anyone know the source for this quote?

I once heard something like that attributed to Darrow after the SCopes trial when neither the law nor the facts were allowed in the judge's court. However, I believe it was a well used Aph even before 1921.
