A very dark brown and green, I ordered it every time after that first encounter at the restaurant. Soon it was being delivered, hidden amidst other packs of butter chicken and assorted entrees. Eventually I started to stalk suppliers of the delicious goop until I found a dealer and began cooking it at home.

Lamb saag.

If pushed I will provide a recipe that involves an intricate mix of cubed lamb (yes browned) and the packet sauce in the oven for two hours on low.

Not to forget England's national dish: chicken tikka masala.

@nacredambition,
Scotland is the country that claims to have invented the dish.

Quote:
Another explanation is that it originated in an Indian restaurant in Glasgow, Scotland. This version recounts how a Pakistani chef, Ali Ahmed Aslam, proprietor of the Shish Mahal restaurant in the west end of Glasgow, invented chicken tikka masala by improvising a sauce made from yogurt, cream, and spices. In 2013, his son Asif Ali told the story of its invention in 1971 to the BBC's Hairy Bikers TV cookery programme:

England is not the same as Britain. Britain is made up of England Scotland and Wales. So it's possible to be British without being English.

An essential part of any good curry is a really good naan.
