bit confused with the answers as i came up with same answers to two questions.
27 d at university, french one changed to dutch initially, for a bit of variety 9 letters
31 d 27 down trandes princess of wales for a commercial break - a disaster. very staid somehow 9 letters.
i came up with ADVERSITY to answer both questions. am i right or wrong.

I think 27d is DIVERSITY. Take 'un' from university and replace with the first letter of 'dutch'.
32d. Replace Princess of Wales (Di) with comercial break (ad) giving ADVERSITY.
