Can someone please help me understand if there is a hierarchy of punctuation, or if any or all of the four punctuation marks next to each other in the text below are needed?
Starting with A, ask yourself “Is ‘A’ more important to me than ‘B’?”. If it is, then give ‘A’ a point or mark.

You don't need the single quotation marks.

Delete the period that follows the question mark/quotation mark.
