Don't get me started.

What about those ridiculous questions like "If it takes four men four days to dig four holes, how many holes will two men dig in one day?

@nacredambition,

Honestly, i cannot see the question through the Forrest of missing information!

Are the men of equal fitness? Are they all using the same tools? Is the ground harder in some places?
But most importantly - do the holes all have to be the same depth or are they just unspecified 'holes'? I could make a hole by poking a stick in the ground... that's technically a hole, and it satisfies the specificity of the question.

It relies on making assumptions that 'tend' to be true .... but is never guaranteed to be true

@maxdancona,
This thread resembles an Allan Ayckbourn comedy in which the characters talk past each other.

This simple riddle which has been asked a number of times on A2K has an obvious and hence trivial answer.
The correct technical usage of the words 'logical' and 'information' is clearly beyond the educational experience of one newly arrived objector to 'the riddle', as indeed is the British usage of 'wet' to mean' spineless'. (...or if not 'spineless', 'ignorant of the purpose of contextual restraints' as shown by the post above)

I conclude, once more, that a Ph.D. thesis is waiting to be written by anyone with the time to investigate the psychology of contributors to forums such as this.

@fresco,
Is it really necessary to push your viscous basted insults on to people who are not doing you any harm?

Insults beget insults !

BTW I would have thought the correct verb to use with the culinary term 'viscous basted' would be 'pour' rather than 'push'...but presumably you know what you mean even if nobody else does!
