I will leave Bristol for a week on Saturday, and I'd already planned to make of list of my DVDs that are waiting in Germany for me. Right now I have about 35 movies here in England and about 40 or 45 movies in Germany.

So when I am back in Bristol (and in the internet, I won't be online while I'm in my holidays, even if this means that I will miss all the Oscar bitching in "Film General" ) I will post my list. But it will surely be less impressive than yours...

Looks like you will get your "Sunrise" DVD soon

I think I will mail Fox again about the order confirmations of my online DVD shop ... but since the restored version of "Sunrise" was shown on TV while I've been in Germany I wonder if I should really try to get "Sunrise" on DVD - sooner or later they will release this DVD in Europe and until then I have two excellent copies of that movie on video tape!

Silent movies on DVD are somehow always a problem. I've taped some movies that were in a better quality on TV than on video. And the newest "Metropolis" restoration is shown with the wrong speed on DVD - instead of 150 minutes it runs only for 2 hours
