I live in a duplex, split in the middle, in the middle of soccermom hell. Nice neighborhood, but myself with two other guys in our 20's isn't the typical demographic of a household in this town. Pretty much all families.
So summer is coming up, which means a significant increase of alcohol consumption on-site, and more jams/cookouts/get togethers. Not to mention the somewhat common habit of having people come back and drink until 5am or so on some weekends. Not that we're obnoxious and loud, but...
Anyway, the other side of the duplex has been open for a few months now. Find out it got rented out, so it's been wait-and-see to find out who's moving in. Never figured it would be younger people anyway. Hoping for 3 hot chicks. Right...
Well, today I'm in my kitchen, which faces the backyard. I hear a little girl's voice out the window...look out, and there's a 3-4 year old wandering around outside, with mom on the rear deck. AWESOME!
We'll be getting some angry calls and police visits this summer.
Wait...move in isn't until May 1st. Hopefully it's just some kid they were babysitting, or a relative, or something. The hot chicks are still coming.
Or they may have been making a reconnaisance, to see if it was a good place to open a creche !

Lord, a creche would be fun. I'd make sure to leave some sacrificed lambs next to it during the wee hours..
Oooooh, bummer..... If you keep it reasonably quite and legal, they can't do much besides being bitchy, no?
Well, as I found out through our last jackass neighbors, they can call the cops for no damn reason at all, as much as they want. They came three times in one night, and after the first time it was definitely quiet enough.
And in turn, so could we.
So.... the cops came and gave you a stern 'keep it down'.... big deal.
