My daughter is always having accidents that would cause me pain if they happened to me and I'm a full grown man. I always get the feeling of wanting to go through the pain that she is going through to somehow eleviate it. Does anyone feel like this? Do you get amazed by the pain they go through?
Be happy that these "accidents" have not really harmed your daughter. I think kids are just more resilient than adults in part because they are so young and growing their bodies heal quickly. When my oldest daughter fracture her foot - she was healed completely within a couple of weeks - it was unbelievable how quick.
But my guess is what you are getting at is very young kids when then seem to have this huge fall, bag their head and tear up their knees - many just laugh and jump up and continue playing - young kids are amazing they live in the moment.
But watch as they get older -
My other daughter has fractured her growth plate, broke her finger, sprained her knee and ankle and the last big one was tear her ACL where she required surgery and over a year of rehab.
I don't think I necessarily wanted to go through her pain to elevate it, but I wanted to go through it so she would not have to. Take her place in a sense - but of course that was not possible. That surgery and immediate recovery afterwards was tough to watch your kid go through-- so yes I am amazed at her recovery and the physical and mental pain she had to endure.
