I want to upgrade an old dressing table by painting it white and putting new handles on it. What stages should I go through in order to make an old tatty flatpack DT bright and shiny please?
Having tackled many first time diy projects myself, I can confidently say that the stages will be something like: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Good luck!
@nottslass58,
Can you describe the present finish? I presume it is varnish or some such wood finish (not paint)? What condition is the present finish - very smooth? peeling? bubbling? rough? scratches?
