A stressed-out computer science professor consumes at least one espresso everyday of a particular year, drinking 500 overall. Prove that on some consecutive sequence of whole days exactly 100 espressos were consumed.

This seems fairly straight forward. I would start by enumerating combinations.

What is the arrangement that this could be true? Then I would start thinking about ways that this might not be true... and eliminate them.

I don't do homework unless I am getting a grade, but if you start reasoning here, I am sure we can help.
