Thought you might enjoy this almost true here:
Gas wars are silly...I refuse to drive to find a gas station that is 4 cents cheaper....or even 7 cents cheaper. Think about it.....
At 2.00 - 10 gallons is $20.00
At 2.10 - 10 gallons is $21.00
How far do people drive to save $1.00? By the time you find that station that is 10 cents cheaper, you've probably used up most of your savings in the gas it took to get to and from the "savings".
If it is right around the corner or on the way to work, sure, save your dollar...but I hate the drive for cheaper gas mentality.

Definitely. Taxes usually go toward roads and mass transit. I suspect other uses, too.
