Conduit thru drywall

Ok, I know a little about wiring, but I have this question: I have a chase in my garage that goes from my main breaker panel into the house. I want to add surface mount receptacles along a wall in the garage and use the grey pvc to do it. Can I drill a hole into the drywall size of the conduit, put a terminal connector on the end to hold in place and run my romex thru that and wire as usual? I don't want to get up into the attic to run the wires so the fastest way is to use the conduit and surface mount boxes. My garage is finished with drywall.
Thanks in advance

@warpdrvr,

you're fine...

if you want, you can add tags such as

electrical
wiring
conduit
drywall

doing so will copy the topic to those forums...

@warpdrvr,
So far as drilling goes, use a hole saw - not a drill bit. Run it slowly and don't expect it to give you long life. I can't respond to the rest.
