A2K's newer members may be wondering just who is this CodeBorg?

In a nutshell: A very articulate, on the ball, perceptive person. Wonderful, insightful posts we've had, from a very thoughtful soul!

And a very funny & quirky individual, too!

Yikes!

I don't know how to explain 18 months of absence.
Burnout. Depression. Skiing and shovelling lots of snow.
Dealing with life. Trying to find my way somewhere.
Looking for a real community somewhere to hang out with.
Spending time with the trees, walking, or just studying.
Working at a ski resort. Coding creatively on my own systems,
but also being drained by the struggle to find people.

You are very sweet, msolga, to welcome me so plainly,
and I guess it's odd because I have absolutely NO IDEA what
I seem to others. Sometimes I just give up. And sometimes
Nature provides enough inspiration to give me a home.

I've been in the Sierra Nevada mountains the last six years,
but my remaining things are in storage now, and next month
I'll be driving somewhere, north I think. Wherever I find a
nice sense of ... humanity ... I think I'll stay. Until then
be aware that I may not be online very often.

My gratitude to everyone on A2K regardless, and I'm amazed
so many are still here! It's good to see people sticking together.

Times change, huh?

Hey, check out the membership numbers! This place is now HUGE! A lot of younger members now to balance out the "oldies"!

We've been chugging along during your absence & from time to time someone says something (like in the "missing & displaced" thread) whatever happened to CodBorg? Now THERE were some terrific posts!!! You've been missed.

On a very sad note: Do you remember Cav? (Cavfancier ) A wonderful, wise, funny A2Ker. Well, after a period of illness he died, not so long ago. This has absolutely devastated people here, as you might imagine.

It's a shame you won't be able to be online as regularly as you were before, CodeBorg. But please do keep us posted on your progress in finding your next home.

Oh, you must mean when I went back to fulltime work! It kind of took over my life & severely limited my online activities. Right now I'm on holiday for 2 weeks!

Hi, CB. The Boston Red Sox, my hometown team, won the World Series. First time since 1918... No, no I'm not kidding. I mean, I know it's a shock, but they absolutely plastered the Yankees. True story.
