Should I say, "I'll go get a glass of water" or "I'll go and get a glass of water"?

Both versions are fine. I’ve heard both and have said both.

Both work, I reckon. I would probably use the first, it sounds more natural. I guess to me it feels as if the second one points out the fact that it is you that goes to actually get the glass of water, as opposed to somebody else.
