We got to where we are now because so many national leaders -- especially Democrats -- let Dubya carry the ball and run with it following the tragedy of 9-11-01.
Dubya was left to heal the nation's wounds, but in the process, he steered the country a bit off-course. Those who noticed did not yell loud enough to be heard . . . and now we stand at the brink of war because Dubya was given a blank check to run the country.
Unfortunately -- as you point out -- he's just about run it into the ground while nobody was watching.
