I usually have strange dreams. Sometimes I even know that I'm dreaming and I've even tried to wake myself up. It's very rare that I have one of those "real enjoyable" dreams, but yeah, I know what you mean about waking up when it's getting somewhere awesome ;-)
Have you ever tried to go back to sleep to continue the dream?

I once had a 'dream within a dream.' I dreamt that I was dreaming and, like Montana, tried to wake myself up because the dream within the dream was weird and unpleasant. So I did manage to wake myself but then it turned out that I was still asleep, i.e. I was dreaming that I was awake when, actually, I was still sleeping.

I had a realistic dream last night too...my parents were murdered. And I was so upset because they were still at the morgue and I didn't want them to be "in between" places. It was so scary. They'd been murdered in their bedroom. The house had been cleaned up except for some blood on the wall. (??) I hate those dreams. I've dreamed almost everyone I love has been murdered. How freaky is that?

Very freaky!!
I have similar dreams to that and the sadness feels so real that when I wake up I can feel the lump in my throat from trying not to cry whilst asleep.

I dream when I'm awake, it's easier to remember them Laughing For instance, I just had a waking dream about a flag pole that was lined up with a big old tree, the tree will be split by, I think lightning.

Poor tree Crying or Very sad

Mine are usually a combination of the real and the surreal. The best ones are the ones where I awaken just in time to feel the dream-induced orgasms.

I thought so!

The new name is cool, but so was the old one. Why the change?

Synonymph, what does your signature line mean?

I need to be educated, if you don't mind.

A privacy thing, caused by a moment of carelessness. I didn't want to remain overly Googlable.

Paula, it's a line from a very well-known E E Cummings poem. I'll post the rest of it later if you like.

anyone lived in a pretty how town

anyone lived in a pretty how town
(with up so floating many bells down)
spring summer autumn winter
he sang his didn't he danced his did

Women and men(both little and small)
cared for anyone not at all
they sowed their isn't they reaped their same
sun moon stars rain

children guessed(but only a few
and down they forgot as up they grew
autumn winter spring summer)
that noone loved him more by more

when by now and tree by leaf
she laughed his joy she cried his grief
bird by snow and stir by still
anyone's any was all to her

someones married their everyones
laughed their cryings and did their dance
(sleep wake hope and then)they
said their nevers they slept their dream

stars rain sun moon
(and only the snow can begin to explain
how children are apt to forget to remember
with up so floating many bells down)

one day anyone died i guess
(and noone stooped to kiss his face)
busy folk buried them side by side
little by little and was by was

all by all and deep by deep
and more by more they dream their sleep
noone and anyone earth by april
wish by spirit and if by yes.

Women and men(both dong and ding)
summer autumn winter spring
reaped their sowing and went their came
sun moon stars rain

That's pretty freaky, but I have had several dreams where I killed people and it was always 2 of my ex's. I even go through the motions of trying to get rid of the body. My biggest fear in those dreams is being afraid of getting caught. Good thing I don't sleep walk :-)
