Needing help on solving a math question. How do I solve this problem..
x-3/7 -2 1/5 = -183/35

@sarah1994,
The general method is to multiply all terms by 35 to get rid of denominators.
However your notation is not clear. For example is the first term
(x-3)/7 or x-3/7 ? In either case, multiplying throughout by 35 will still lead to simplification..

I get x=-3/5 assuming -(21)/5 (not -2units and 1/5)
