I did try to fake a note once, but I misspelled Eileen. That wasn't cool.

Joe(the dog ate my homework)Nation

Joe(Must attend a funeral for my aunt)Nation
Joe(was ill and could not type his report)Nation

Joe(was struck and nearly killed by a runaway bus that had hit a truck full of turkeys on Route 6A and his hand is really, really hurt so excuse him from the pop quiz or whatever in algebraic poly-nomials this morning and also Tuesday too.)Nation

Joe(I am really the one writing this note, not Joe, even though it looks like it's in his handwriting because he is writing it for me because last night we were almost struck and killed by a turkey truck on Route 6A. It's in the Herald this morning although it doesn't say our names we were really there and now I would like you to send Joe home for the rest of the day and don't call me because I am sleeping. Signed Joseph's mother, Elieen) Nation

Dear Mrs. Nation:

I was sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience on Route 6A. By a remarkable coincidence, more than ten other students in my Algebra II class, along with one or both their parents, were victims of the same unfortunate accident. Luckily, we are presently exploring the Permutations of Probability so Joe will be able to tell what are the chances of that happening just before the day of the mid-term exam.

Please sign the attached page, showing you have received this note and Joe will bring it to me tomorrow.

Yours

Coach Burns

PS Do you really spell your name "Elieen", is that the Irish spelling as Joe tells me??

Yes we did, osso. Very Happy For the second time, even. Very Happy

A very enjoyable day of food, wine, buying gee-gaws from craft stalls on the beach front, coffee & cake & lots of talk! A freak warm day in Melbourne in Easter! What more could one ask?
