Folk Art - Graphite

Hi experts -

I saw this unusual  piece which reminds me of folk art. It was done in pencil and I find the subject matter interesting. It appears to have some age to it and is signed in the lower right with a very peculiar signature. Does anyone recognize this work or the signature?
